On the morning of 26th April, Danish Minister of Foreign Affairs Martin Lidegaard and Minister for Trade and Development Cooperation Mogens Jensen paid a visit to Peking University (PKU), and participated in a discussion with scholars from the School of International Studies, Peking University, on issues concerning with China’s foreign policies and China- Denmark economic and trade relations.
After the discussion, Dr. Li Yansong, Vice President of PKU, met the guests at Linhuxuan and talked with Mr. Martin Lidegaard and Mr. Mogens Jensen about bilateral exchanges and cooperation.
During the meeting, Vice President Li Yansong extended warm welcome for the arrival of Mr. Martin Lidegaard and Mr. Mogens Jensen. He introduced the development trend of PKU’s international cooperative school-running and the meaning of Yenching Academy, a project for international talents nourishment to be launched.
Then Mr. Martin Lidegaard talked about cooperation programs between Denmark and China. He also asked about the status quo of collaboration in such educational fields as natural sciences and social sciences between the two countries.
