From September 6th to 10th, 2015, Martin Karplus, professor from Harvard University, winner of the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 2013, visited Peking University. He gave academic lectures and attended “Small talk of Three Renowned Scholars” organized by the Department of Chemistry and Molecular Engineering. In the afternoon of November 9th, Prof. Karplus delivered an academic lecture entitled “Motion: Hallmark of Life. From Marsupials to Molecules” to more than three hundred students and teachers both in and out of the university in the Department of Chemistry and Molecular Engineering.
